Destroy Boys

Destroy Boys are a snarling punk band from Sacramento, California, started in 2015 when teenagers Violet Mayugba and Alexia Roditis began turning heartbreak and boredom into raw, hook‑heavy songs. Still grounded in DIY ethics even as they’ve grown onto bigger stages worldwide, the band’s latest era with bassist David Orozco and drummer Narsai Malik pushes from garage punk and riot grrrl into heavier, weirder territories on their 2024 album Funeral Soundtrack #4. Their shows are loud, sweaty and deeply queer‑inclusive spaces, built on shout‑along choruses, blown‑out riffs and the kind of catharsis that could only come from a band that cut its teeth in all‑ages rooms and basement gigs back home.
